South West Metal Finishing is very proud to have been presented with the ventilator challenge certificate in recognition of our contribution to rapid development and supply of ventilators to the NHS at the height of the pandemic in 2020.
All of our sites were involved in the surface treatment of parts incorporated into the ventilator units and helped enable the supply of 14000 ventilators to the NHS frontline. It is worth noting that prior to covid, 1500 ventilators were produced annually, yet within 12 weeks 2000 had been produced! A monumental achievement by the supply chain, in very challenging conditions.
We are pleased to have played a small but important part of this agile and capable supply chain.
