The diffused nickel cadmium plating process entails the electrodeposition of cadmium onto an electrodeposit of nickel on carbon, corrosion-resistant and low-alloy steels.

This coating is typically used for, but not limited to, preventing corrosion of carbon, low-alloy, and corrosion resistant steel parts which may operate in temperatures up to 900 °F.

Accredited

We have worked with companies from a wide range of sectors and have obtained many company approvals and accreditations.

The Process

This process is composed of a nickel plating base layer, with a cadmium plating applied over the top. It then goes through a heat treatment to diffuse the layers.

This process is not suitable for use on parts of complex shape where minimum nickel plate thickness requirements cannot be met.
