New SWMF surface treatment apprenticeship program awards :
To celebrate the progress of our apprentices, South West Metal Finishing now have a new annual apprentice of the year award scheme.This will continue to roll forward for all future apprentices, to celebrate their dedication to progressing themselves and the surface treatment industry.The second year apprentices (Jacob, Mackenzie, Ryan and Arthur) presented to their mentors and the senior leadership team what they have learned and experienced along the journey of the apprenticeship so far.The audience were asked to score the presentations based on the content and delivery. In conjunction with this the apprentices college performance and attendance was also considered, as well as the final marks of their IMF foundation course and general attitude to learning to give their overall performance score.We are pleased to announce that Mackenzie Hayes was awarded the 2022 award, along with a gift of £250.Mackenzie has shown dedication throughout his time at SWMF and most recently while working in our on-site laboratory. To thank all of the apprentices for their hard work, they were also awarded runners up certificates and a £50 gift card.Many of the SWMF team joined in the celebration, and were proud of the dedication of the young employees and the commitment shown by the team in helping to inspire the next generation of surface treatment specialists.
