Main Responsibilities
- Monitoring and reporting
- Taking daily utilities meter readings
- Assisting with store stock takes as required.
- Carry of daily, Weekly and monthly standard work to include routine daily checks and cleaning of the production oiling bay and degreasing plant.
Effluent:
- Daily start up and shutdown of both plants.
- Running of the filter press, draining of settlement tanks, monitoring of the ‘V’ notch tank.
- Regeneration of the de-min plant.
- Ensure all the reagent tanks are ‘topped up’ to ensure compliant running of these plants.
Environmental:
- Daily start up and shutdown of both plants.
- Aid in the monitoring of all environmental aspects including carrying out utilities meter readings (Water, Gas, and Electricity)
- Aid in ensuring the company is compliant with all regulatory requirements including EPR (Environmental Permitting Regulations) and Discharge Consents.
- Perform other regular daily/weekly checks as required.
- Aid in the control of waste handling, storage, and disposal.
- Work with Operations personnel to pump out used/waste solutions from the production tanks and transfer this waste to safe storage areas.
Yard:
- Transport effluent and waste chemicals around the site.
- Transfer waste containers to the assembly point as part of a waste collection.
- Carry out basic site maintenance, such as painting, pressure washing, basic grounds maintenance.
- Maintaining 5’s and keeping the yard and effluent plant clean and tidy.
Specific Job Skills / Qualifications
Run the day-to-day activities of the effluent treatment and demineralization water plants and rectify any minor technical issues of either plant.
Assist with the removal and management of used/waste solutions from the production facilities.
Assist with the disposal of the various wastes produced on site.
Carry out basic maintenance and upkeep around the site.

- Must have clean or near clean driving Current Fork truck license preferable, but not essential.

Core Hours of Work
08:00 – 16:30 Monday – Thursday.
08:00 – 15:00 Friday
It would be expected that the post holder would start earlier or work later if there is a business need. Some overtime will be required as necessary to complete tasks and serve the needs of the production.
