Job Summary
Non-Destructive Testing of components by the Magnetic Particle, Fluorescent Penetrant, Acid Etch inspection methods, Pre-Penetrant Etch, Visual Inspection plus Hardness and Conductivity Testing.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that work is undertaken in compliance with regulations, manuals, techniques and company policy;
- Ensuring compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental policies and report any concern to supervision
- Liaise with the NDT Supervisor as and when required
- Report any maintenance issues to NDT supervision and management
- Report to NDT supervision on issues that could affect the running of the process
- Ensure area is kept to a clean standard and any 5S and Audit actions are actioned
- Support any actions necessary to improve quality or process improvement
- Set up equipment, conduct system performance checks and perform tests
- Interpret, evaluate and document results as SWMF procedures and customer quality standards
- Process parts for regular Audits, both customer based and internal
- Be capable of guiding and supervising trainees
- Raise required Technique Sheets
- Review NDT specifications
- Sign off NDT contract reviews
- Raise Complete NDT AQP’s
Skills Required
- Attention to detail and sufficient level of dexterity
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Be able to complete job cards and production paperwork
- Proficient numeracy and literacy
- Proficient in word processing with good basic computing skills
The role would involve working with oil and chemicals used in the plating industry.
